MANAGING DIRECTOR
Richard joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers in June 2008 as Senior Mechanical Engineer. He was promoted to Associate in 2010, to Associate Director in 2012 and Director in 2014. In October 2018 he became Managing Director.
JAMES NICHOLSON BSc (HONS) ACIBSE IENG
DIRECTOR
James is a Director and manages the Electrical department at Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers. He is responsible for the electrical design and specifications on a wide range of projects and following the project from conception to completion.
GARY CRAWFORTH MSc (HONS) LCIBSE ENGTECH
ASSOCIATE
Gary joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers in May 2018 as an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer after 10 years of experience working for another consultancy within the domestic and small-scale commercial market.
PAUL JANAWAY MIET
ASSOCIATE
Paul joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers in September 2017 after 20 years experience within the industry. As an Associate, Paul frequently attends client meetings from start to finish to develop initial briefs and take full projects through to completion.

Joe joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers in 2014 after working within the computer technology industry.

Richard joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers in June 2017 having previously worked for the company from 2012 to 2015.

Chris joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers after working within the industry for several years.

Richard joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers in 2024. He has a vast amount of experience within the Building Services sector.

KIERAN WELSH
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Kieran joined Sutcliffe Consulting Engineers following his completion of Humberside Engineering Training Association.
DANIEL SIMPSON
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Daniel started in July 2022 and is continuing his studies in Electronic & Electrical Engineering at Leeds Beckett University with sponsorship from SCE. He has previous hands on experience as an Electrician on both domestic and industrial projects.
GEORGE BROWN
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
George started in April 2022 and will be trained in Mechanical Engineering. His training will include how to produce SBEM information. He has the opportunity to attend Leeds College of Building to start his HNC in September 2022 with the sponsorship of the company.
RUTH RAYNOR
FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION
Ruth has been a member of our team since 2010. She developed her position and was since promoted to PA in June 2015. Ruth runs our Quality Assurance, SafeContractor & professional body schemes.
ANDY WARD
SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Andy joined SCE in 2024 after over 20 years in the industry. His previous role entailed of undertaking project management of M&E installations, liaising with clients and designing and preparing quotations for electrical installations.
AINARS CERNAVSKIS BEng (HONS)
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Ainars joined SCE in 2023 and is responsible for undertaking electrical designs. He has a keen interest for BIM technology.

Oscar has been a valued member of the Sutcliffe family since 2021. His primary responsibilities include decreasing stress levels, eating food and greeting visitors.
